Every community need is different. So is the support that can make a difference.
Home for the Homeless works alongside individuals, nonprofits, and community partners to understand where help can make the greatest impact.
Our work focuses on four areas: substance abuse treatment, mental health support, essential needs, and supportive action. Sometimes that means helping someone directly. Other times, it means funding, connecting, or strengthening a community organization already doing important work.
Whatever the approach, the goal remains the same: help one person take a meaningful step toward a better quality of life.
One life can lead to another. And together, those individual changes can transform a community.

Providing addiction recovery and mental health support, daily meals, food assistance, and a welcoming community space. We support both its programs and improvements to the environment where people receive help.
Expanding access to fresh, healthy food in underserved Kansas City communities. Home for the Homeless has provided financial support to help Kanbe's bring nutritious food closer to people who need it.
Meeting immediate needs for people experiencing homelessness through shoes, sleeping bags, hygiene products, clothing, vision and hearing assistance, and other essential resources.
